Dallas, Texas based soul singer and pianist Tatum Jackson channels the rich legacy of classic R&B
with a modern, soulful touch. His music is rooted in a timeless appreciation for love, life, and
growth. Inspired at an early age by Jodeci’s legendary debut “Forever My Lady,” Tatum’s sound
refects deep infuences from icons like Teddy Riley, Charlie Wilson, Tank, Silk, Rahsaan
Patterson, Lenny Williams, and the unforgettable Lucky Peterson.
A proud graduate of Dallas’ renowned Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and
Visual Arts—the same creative stomping grounds as Erykah Badu, Norah Jones, Roy Hargrove,
Shaun Martin, and Daniel Jones—Tatum’s artistry was further shaped by the Black Academy of
Arts and Letters under the guidance of Curtis King. There, Tatum honed his craft, rising to serve
as Musical Director and developing a mission to spread the magic of love and peace through music.
Tatum’s journey has taken him around the globe, touring with the “Prince of Blues” Lucky
Peterson as keyboardist and background vocalist in over 15 countries, and performing
unforgettable shows like the one at Dallas’ Myerson Symphony Center as part of the supergroup
“40 Fingers,” including the late, great Shaun Martin and Daniel Jones.
Driven by passion, vibrant musicianship, and an unwavering desire to make others feel good
about love and life’s lessons, Tatum Jackson’s music ofers a refreshing reminder that heart and
soul are always in style.
